Hello,

A yellow icon means that the TCP or UDP Relay is used and that it passes through our servers (so your connection will be slow). This may be due to network topology and indicates that only a slow connection is possible.

Hi, thanks for the quick feedback. I know what yellow icon means. What i can't figure out is why is appearing. i disabled every firewall and antivirus. Is there a way to fix this via port forwarding or any other way?
Thanks

Hello,

Try to turn off and on Radmin VPN (click the round button), it`ll create the connection again.

This is a joke, right? All the advise you can give is to turn off/on the VPN?

Hello,

No, it`s not a joke. This will create connection again and it might be faster and more optimal.

That literally is one of the first things that anyone tries. I've done it hundreds of times but it's always yellow. What ports does the VPN use? Can port forwarding be done? Can I check something from the windwos registry?

Hello,

If you have white IP address, it might help you to establish direct connection.

Hello

In most cases connection type is direct (UDP\nat, UDP\local,TCP), but sometimes its not possible to establish direct connection. And connection comes through intermediate node. The easiest way to fix this problem  is to make a direct (white) IP for the problematic node (yellow PC). Try to describe your topology from PC to internet provider and we`ll help you.

Hi, the topology is like this:

PC --> Router (through cable connection)
Router --> Internet ( the router is from Internet Provider)

PC: Windows 10
Router Model: Sagemcom 3686

Hi, i have the same issue in my house (the same notebook in my office works well).
I've the same topology and router model (provided by Telecentro, Argentina), so I think there might be a problem there. I still can't solve it.
Could you solve it?
Thanks! Regards.
PD: sorry for my bad english...

Can you tell why Relay is not an option for you? It's working the same as all other connections. Just a little bit slower. May be if you explain - I could help with an answer.

Hello,

1. Why does Relay connection is not suitable for you? What exactly you want to get?
2. Relay connection is a connection type and Radmin VPN is working well and traffic goes through our servers, that`s why there might a delay, because packages go firstly to our servers and to remote PC after that.
3. Relay connection is chosen because of local router or Internet provider settings. That`s why relay connection is used instead of direct one. But both of them have the same functionality.
Relay connection is just a bit slower and it`s chosen because of local topology.

1) Relay is really really really slow and usually cant ping the remote desktop.
2) I know its a connection type.
3) I know both of them have the same functionality but direct connection is the fastest way.... way way better than relay connection. I want to know if there is a port configuration or something that, perhaps, improves the connection.

Hello,

1) You need to turn off File and Print sharing rules in Firewall to make ping available.
3) There should be no routers, NATs and firewall.

Ok ill try the option 3. Maybe my ISP is the problem.

Did you find a solution to this? Or at least an answer as to what causes the connection to be relayed (like, are specific ports not available?) I have several computers with Windows firewall turned off and using a hardware firewall. Even though they are on the same network with the same exact firewall, some of them often get relayed for no apparent reason.

Hello,

Relay connection is not an error. Its one of Radmin VPN connection type that takes place when direct connection is not possible.
There  are a lot of factors like many routers between Radmin VPN and Internet,  NATs, firewalls, network topology, router settings, closed ports and  etc.
Here some ways to avoid this connection type, but they dont guarantee non relayed connection:
1. Both PCs (local and remote) are placed in the same network.
2. Both PCs (local and remote) can ping each other.
3. Both PCs (local and remote) have direct IP address.
4. Both PCs (local and remote) have firewall turned off.
5. Routers have default settings.
