Borderlands 2 multiplayer online

Here is the article for people who want to play in LAN with their friends and for whose you want to find teammates and play with them


General setup

1. Make sure you have the same version of the Borderlands game!
2. Download and install Radmin VPN
3. Create a network and share network name and password with people you want to play with. This is quite intuitive, but if you facing some issues or want to know more about Radmin VPN network administration here is the guide.

How to create Borderlands 2 online server

  1. For host it's a good practice to add the game to a firewall's exceptions (see in Troubleshooting)
  2. In the game go to: Main menu -> Network options -> Sel ect "LAN"



  3. If you click "Continue" other people will be able to find your game by following steps in "How to join an online server" section below
  4. In general people fr om the Radmin VPN LAN should appear in the bottom right list you need to right-click on the gamer's name and choose "Invite to game"


That's it! Wait for your teammates to join and enjoy the game!


How to join Borderlands 2 online server


This instruction will work as well if you want to join games hosted in Radmin VPN gaming network.

  1. Main menu -> Network options -> Select "LAN"
  2. Go back to main menu and select "Find games"
  3. Wait for 10 seconds 
  4. Choose the server you want to play

How to find teammates

There are couple of Borderlands 2 chats on Radmin VPN Discord server

There are gaming networks for Borderlands 2. 
Go to Network -> Join Network -> Choose Gaming network tab and type in Borderlands 2 in Search


Troubleshooting


If you can't see your friends  or any servers in the game:


  1. make sure you all have the same game version
  2. make sure you did all the steps in the instruction above
  3. try to turn off firewall, if it helped - add the game to the firewall exceptions:


    • Click "Start" then "Connections" then "show all connections"
    • Double-click your Internet connection, and then click "Properties", then "Advanced", then "Settings ..." (Windows firewall), then click "Exceptions

      You must have the game files listed as exceptions. To do so, via the "exceptions" menu, click on "Add a Program", double-click on the game.
4. If you're getting some errors in Radmin VPN here are the solutions to most of them
