Host Multiplayer Game
Step 1: Install SteamCMD Download and install
SteamCMD.
Step 2: Run SteamCMD Step 3: Install Killing Floor 2 Dedicated Server Go to SteamCMD and type:
login anonymous
Then press "Enter".
app_update 232130 validate
Then press "Enter".
Once done you will receive a message saying "Success! App '232130' fully installed".
Step 4: Launch Killing Floor 2 Dedicated Server Go to KF2 Dedicated Server folder. Create text file and copy there following code:
start .\Binaries\win64\kfserver kf-burningparis?ServerName=TS Server?Difficulty=1?GameLength=2
Where:
ServerName This is the displayed server name to all players in the server and the server browser.
Difficulty This sets the server difficulty. 0 (Normal), 1 (Hard), 2 (Suicidal), 3 (Hell on Earth).
GameLength This sets the number of rounds per game. 0 (short, 4 rounds), 1 (normal, 7 rounds), 2 (long, 10 rounds).
Save this file as "start.bat".
Right-click "start.bat" and Run as Administrator to start your server.
A window with the server loading process will appear. Do not close it.
Step 5: Install Radmin VPN and create a network Download and install
Radmin VPN. In the main Radmin VPN window, click "Create Network".
Enter the network name, password and click "Create".
Step 6: Ask your friends to join the network Send your friends the name of the Radmin VPN network and the password to join to this network.
Step 7: Add the server to the firewall exceptions You need to add rules to the firewall. Open Radmin VPN -> System -> Firewall Exceptions and add Killing Floor 2 Dedicated Server to the exceptions.
Step 8: Connect to Killing Floor 2 Dedicated Server Launch Killing Floor 2. Press "~" and go to the game console. Type in the following command to connect to your server: "open ServerIP", where ServerIP is game server IP from Radmin VPN (for example: "open 26.12.125.71"). Press "Enter". You should be able to now connect to your server.
Join Multiplayer Game
Step 1: Install Radmin VPN and connect to the network Download and install
Radmin VPN. In the main Radmin VPN window, click "Join Network". Enter the Network Name and Password and click "Join".
Make sure you and your friends are on the same network.
Step 2: Launch Killing Floor 2 Step 3: Add the game to the firewall exceptions You need to add rules to the firewall. Open Radmin VPN -> System -> Firewall Exceptions and add Killing Floor 2 to the exceptions.
Step 4: Join the game
Go to the game menu and press "~" and go to the game console. Type in the following command to connect to your server: "open ServerIP", where ServerIP is game server IP from Radmin VPN (for example: "open 26.12.125.71"). Press "Enter". You should be able to now connect to your server.
Search for a team on the Internet
You can find teammates in Radmin VPN gaming networks. In the Radmin VPN menu click "Network" -> "Join network" -> "Gaming network" tab. In the search field, enter "Killing Floor 2".
