I would like to introduce to all this very good, not big mod to C & C - Zero hour game.Its very interesting mod which have main fucus to get rid of a numbers bugs in original game C & C - zero hour. Nproject mod adding slighty some things to game to be more interesting and balanced. Also AI is improved and much better then in original game. There some new weapons and abilitis of play which not harm elementary ideas of pure C&C Generals-Zero hour. Added new general called Boss General (wel balanced to other), and all old generals slighty improved. 100% bugs of pure C&C Generals-Zero hour game were fixed because of this mod.
Hence Im recomending to try this mod:
For date 10.6.2023 is it NProject mod 2.10.1. latest version.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
NProject mod 2.10.1 = Mod for strategic game Command and Conquer Generals - Zero hour in version 1.04 and support only this version 1.04.
So download Nproject mod and then
INSTALLATION:
1)
After download exctract Nproject mod fr om ZIP file to main root directory of game.
Example: (some HD)\Origin Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour
If you will copied mod there, fews files will ask for overwrite. (Make back up them if you will plan in future to back normal Generals - Zero hour game.)
2)
You can put this mod to any C&C Generals - Zero hour with version 1.04 (EA (Origin), CD version, Gold version and so on. But, and this very IMPORANT, remember ALWAYS check in game
folder called: ,,Scripts,,, Usually way wh ere to find him is: (some HDD)\....\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Data\Scripts
If in folder ,,Scripts,, are some files, make back up them (if you plan in future play again original game) or all files there delete. This folder ,,Scripts,, have to be ALWAYS EMPTY !!!!, if you want play NProject mod 2.10.1.

Start via generals.exe

Note: Game dont want Start in some cases if you played game on 4K monitor, and after turn 4K monitor off and you try play on HD (1920x1080) or another resolution monitor then were your previosly 4K monitor. If happened then you have to manualy change resolution in your profile in file called ,,options.ini,,.
Usualy way:
C:\Users\(your Windows session name)\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\options.ini
Options.ini open by notepad and put there on ,,Resolution,, line, resolution of monitor you want play game actually. For example: Resolution = 1920 1080
Then you remember save changes in ,,options.ini,, file you did.
Enought to do only one time. Then game will work fine always, till you will again connect, and play on your 4k monitor and after turn him off you connect again another resolution monitor you will have to do this procedure above again.
Note2:
SOMETIMES !! - NProject mod 2.10.1 dont like if you play game and you looking to desctop. After watch something during play on desctop you risk game will crash. So if you play game, and you plan during battle visiting desctop of your PC you risk crash game. So you do not watch your desctop during play.
You can fix it -
A) play in windowed mode any time you need to go Windows desctop. For this for example one fr om fastest way how fix this problem, if you start game use in menu of game keyboard characters Alt + Enter any time you want.
or
B) Add game to NO STEAM games in Steam and start NProject mod 2.10.1 from menu of Steam like No Steam game. It will guaranted that game will not crash if you one time check during play your desctop. But second time you check desctop game will with hight propability crash. So adding the NProject mod 2.10.1 to No Steam games can allow you during battle one look to destop in fullscreen mode.
Generaly this you can fix, when use program Borderless Gaming.

Start Nproject mod, then go desctop and start Borderless Gaming program and from left tab by arrow to put game to right side tab. Thats all. Stay ON the program Borderless Gaming and restart game. Then will always, after start game, during fews second automaticly change your game to Fullscreen mode with all abilities like Windowed mode.

Who have original game in EA (Origin) - Origin Ultimate collection C&C games you can use cnc-ultimate-collection-launchers v1.22.

GAMERANGER
Second possibility: Gameranger
A) Downlaod gaming program called Gameranger

B) Register in Gameranger
Note:
If you lost password, and email will not available which you used during registration, you will lost your nickname in Gameranger. Only one email can be added to one Gameranger nickname. So if you will creating your second Gameranger acount you have to use another email then you used in past when you had first your account registration.
C) Go Gameranger and look for server of games you have instaled. Server/s C&C Generals - Zero hour will appeared (if someone created before).
Note:
If you dont see any server in game it can be from two reasons.
1) Try check if your game is assigned to your game exe. If you have game instaled unusualy way and Gameranger not see your exe from game, you have to add it by hand in menu of Gameranger.
2) You have not opened ports for Gameranger
So open them in your router.
If you dont know how, try on this page below find exactly, in ideal case, or similar model of router you have and try analize how to do.

3) If you did both steps and still you cant host game in Gameranger try

Connect to fake IP and start via program Hide All Ip your Gameranger and create you hosting network game room or join gamne room in Gameranger. After install Hide All Ip, work this program only 2 days. So ask internet what to do.
D) Simply if you see server double click on his name and join room. And then click on join. Or cre ate server room and wait for players.
If creator of this C & C Generals - Zero hour room start game, your game will also start, and automaticly you will navigate to game server and automaticly connecting. If you are creator network room in Gameranger all people who want to play have to FAST JOIN your room, and game in Gameranger after you start game server in room, because if they will not do this, they will not possible join your game after some time, even you not started the game fyzicaly in LAN loby of your game. Its there set default time or something like that, and because this default rul in Gameranger in game C&C Generals - Zero hour networks rooms nobody can join after time is up.
Note:
Sometimes for unknown reason, even if all have the same version game (the same release) cant start game NProject mod 2.10.1 in Gameranger. During start game will NProject mod 2.10.1 crash. If happened, go play to RADMIN VPN.
Note2:
In Gameranger from differ of Radmin you can in menu of game see always only one server, directly this server you are joined the room in Gamranger. So there is not possible somethink like it was in Tunngle (if you early used this program) or like is in Radmin to see many server directly of menu game.
Note3: The same rull as for Radmin is also for Gameranger. This release is not clear C&C Generals - Zero hour game, but modificated game with mod NProject mod 2.10.1, so you cant play with another player/s which havent this mod installed. So if you have not friends to play this mod with you, you have to talk before you start your server in chat room in your game room, that if you want stranger/s, which joined your server, play with you, they have to download NProject mod 2.10.1.

RADMIN VS. GAMERANGER :
RADMIN:
Plus:
1)Easy install, no registration need, join game/s or host games. Thats all.
2) Radmin in most cases of users dont need to portforwarding or doing nothing to see each other in Radmin network.
3) You can see many servers (if someone created) in game room like it was earlier if game had original servers on.
4) In Radmin you can change nick name in network as many times you want.
5) Radmin support almost 100% games using LAN support in worldwide. Its mean also the newest LAN supported games.
Cons:
Radmin have not any social network in free version of Radmin. With those who want you comunicate directly in Radmin network have to use Radmin server program.
so if you want to comunicate with Radmin users you have to know him/her/them from any other social network, or from common life and comunicate with him/her/them, to coordinate play.
Note:
Is one way how to fix it. Istall Radmin Server. Its Radmin payed product and because of him is possible to keep alive for free Radmin VPN which we players using. If you install Radmin Server, which is prioritly created for Remote PC (like TeamViewer, AnyDesk etc.), can strangers from Radmin VPN network contact you via chat or even voice chat message. All depend how you set in your Radmin Server options. In menu of Radmin Server you can tick this function that people from Radmin VPN can sent you chat message/s or do even voice message or did both from Radmin VPN. Nobody will able to do nothing other then only chat or call or both, to you from Radmin VPN, if you not allow it in options menu of Radmin Server..

If you have Radmin Server instaled, and your radmin VPN is on, and you joined some network in Radmin VPN wh ere are someone who have Radmin Server instaled, you can click on his/her/ Radmin ip by right mouse click and in menu which will appared, you can choose chat or voice message which you can use.
GAMERANGER:
Plus:
1) Have social network including (chat, add friends in Gameranger menu and so on).
Its mean u can add friends (in free version of Gameranger only 50), and chat with them. Gameranger suport microphone in room which you create.
Cons:
2 In no payed version of Gamranger you cant change nick name. For change nick name in free version of Gameranger is necessary always do new registration in Gameranger.
3) More probability then in Radmin, that you will have encounter with any named problems above with conecting or hosting.
4) In Gameranger are suported only old games.

What is for both balanced:
1) Gameranger and Radmin have similar possibility to crash program. its not big problem, because it no happening often. But happening.....
2) Ping equal. Someone have better in Radmin and someone in Gameranger.
Conclusion:
Play in Radmin and in Gameranger too. Your ping and friends will finaly decide wh ere you will finaly play often.
NOTE:
If in future will accidental die programs like Gameranger or Radmin use certainly any other VPN which working. The are many. Example Hamachi.
